Many will know I run a successful telemarketing company.

However I find myself bored with the challenge, and feel I want to try my hand at something new, I would obviously keep running EbonyBailey Marketing, but I am keen to see what else I can put my hands to.
Any ideas? I think it would have to be an obvious move but I have brain freeze at the moment. Maybe something new would be a good idea too.

I like my football, and my involvement with John Fashanu may have some benefits, maybe something through the NSPCC which I do work with.

So you can see I have not got a clue, other than I need something new to do as well as run this company.

Help please!!!

Michael

Hi,

A web site for men only, then you could keep all your footy and car stuff all together in one place. Had a look on the web, theirs loads of women only sites, not many for you blokes, most of them just contain boobs and how their willy's are not working (boring) The other are just mens business sites and mags.

Plus your mate could give you footy tips to put on :D

Michael - if you're so successful and you've designed the business that it doesn't need you anymore to make money and it's flooding in so much that you're sick of making it then how about..

1. taking it easy?
2. or give time free for charity?

Would it not be a challenge to grow your current business to new 6 or 7 figure levels or do you feel it has peaked out?

Rob

No it has not peaked yet, and yes I can see it grow to the levels you are mentioning, with the right implementation, i suffer from the same thin gmany small business suffer from, being scared to make that jump financially.
I just need a new chanllenge, I feel I could run two business's at the same time. So any ideas

But EB has grown pretty quickly. What happens then you get another small biz as quickly to that level? Get scared, stop growing it and start yet another?

I'm just trying to explore, understand and help :)

Michael - just to tip you the nod..

Theres 2 testimonials on your site with exactly the same concluding paragraph - the grass roots one and the Liase one..

Both say..

"His self confidence and straight forward approach was enough for me to commission our first external telemarketing spend.

Money well spent."

Probably just used one page as a template for the other ;)

Or come up to Scotland and chat face to face about this.

Regarding the testimonials, thanks for pointing that out, i think it was an error when posted and will get the correct statements sorted soon.

Regards to growing a new business to a new level i would say im looking to add value to the EbonyBailey name, it will not be a case of leaving ebmarketing behind. I have put some thoughts together and had a few conversations with those people, its more about making a group of companies that could compliment eachother

Mark, maybe you should concentrate on building your existing business and as someone else has pointed out devote some time to a charity or a voluntary organisation.

There is a deeper human need for achievement/challenge/satisfaction and don't fall into the trap that it has to come from being a wealthy successful businessman. I’m no shrink but it sounds to me like the learning towards starting the second business is not addressing the problem but only providing a stopgap till the feeling pops up again

Seriously consider doing something off the wall and something that is good.

Firstly I'd be interested to find out who Mark is, more than one person has called me this on this blog.
I have actually had a good think about this and I have decided to expand my current business to offer other services. secondly I do help a charity I have raised over £20k for the NSPCC in the last 4 months and another £7k for the NCH in the same time. I just want to do more, and I think I have found it too through existing contacts, so thank everyone, I am relauunching my website hopefull on the 1st December and all will be revealed then.
