Look at the bright side - you might be using HSBC and have to remember to change their timestamp source code everytime there is a switch from BST to GMT :-(

Is worldpay normally reliable?

I will be adding them to my site very soon, would be good to know.

I would say yes.

They sometimes have downtime, but we all do.

They have suffered 2 DOS attacks, which are they worst, as they last several days, but all payment providers are exposed to these.

I agree with tophat,

generally ok - but if I could move away painlessly I wouldn't waste a minute doing so.

But they are very easy to use once all is setup.

In fact they have denied the ddos attack, but the same problem was observed last year oct I think, but if it continue it will spoil the festive season coming up. As an alternate option chronopay seems good solution.

If you do use worldpay, I suggest you cross check your orders, as I found a few order that I did not get a callback, callback error or digital reciept for.

I am not using worldpay. Though I find chronopay is fine stable and reliable.

I hear you recommending chronopay but why?

I wouldn't trust ANY payment company whose .co.uk site has been down as long as theirs has.

Well, Thanks for pointing that, it is not a recommendation, it is just a possibility. When I come across with good real reviews, nice overviews and ultimate user experience of certain product/service analyzing with my personal belief and knowledge, I just name out that product/service for better possibility, just to help other members if I can.

For example I've discussed with my few friends to join ukbusinessforums, as I find it is good place where people can express their views democratically.

Eventually I believe the bigger companies has bigger issue. I like those company which focus on customer actual need and implement changes to deliver their best, the mid-size professional companies utmost care about these aspects as they have to grow fast.

This is not matter only that "what" we look for, it is also important that "How" we look into certain aspects.
