As I have said in an earlier post, I am about to undertake a Bookkeeping course to build on my existing knowledge of this area and allow me to gain official recognition.
I am also exploring the possibilities for me to use these skills to set up a small business offering bookkeeping services following the completion of the course.
It may seem a little premature to start looking at how I can use these skills but if I start researching now it gives my plenty of time to set out my business plan.
What I am hoping in this thread is that people will share with me how they manage the bookkeeping for their own business by answering the following questions. Any information you can provide would be very much appreciated.
1. What type of business do you run?
2. Do you outsource your bookkeeping?
3. If so, why? or if not, why?
4. What does your bookkeeper do for you?
ie is there any amount of preperation you do your self or do you
literally hand over all your reciepts and invoices? and then what do
they provide you with?
5. Do you pay an hourly rate or a fixed charge?
