Hi Jay here,
I am looking for some help regarding Telephone Sales. I want to take orders by Phone and Fax BUT! What are the laws around this. I currently take orders online and the customer enters their own Credit/Debit Card details. Whereas is I was using phone or fax I would enter them. Can I just Use NOCHEX like I am doing, and enter their details?

No, you cannot take orders over the phone with Nochex. it is actually agains the terms and conditions to do this :-)
While the gateway is indeed there, and it can theoretically be done, you could end up losing ur account.
Taking orders on the phone is a major bug bear of mine to, and its a costly procedure. Streamlime does it, but its COST, COST COST. I'm afraid.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :-)

If you are not allowed to do this through nochex I know that Worldpay offer a Virtual Terminal service called WorldAccess that allows you to do this.

Its a one off setup fee of £100 then its the same processing fees as what you pay normally...and if you have a merchant account that isnt that much really.

Ah ok I didnt make it that clear, you have to be a customer of theirs already but if you are a customer you just upgrade to get the virtual terminal as a one off extra payment.
