Hi Roy
I would lose the default cheesy embossed look, it's been done to death over the years.
Simple without embossed effect would look much better imo and not spoil the paintings you have put on the cover.
Possibly a better effect (IF you have to add one) would be to make use of the rough and feather the edges rougly (not cheesy smooth but use the paint edges cut to their natural shapes)

Two words.... Comic Sans :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

On a serious note that font really annoys me for business useage, just looks so childish :redface:

umm I dunno, doesn't look very professional
definitely choose another font apart from comic sans and loose the emboss, that's been milked by amateurs.

Maybe choose a background color or a gradient, play about with the layout, add a few boxes and add text inside.

Maybe have a painting as the background fading in, right now it doesn't look like a proper DVD cover it just looks like a flyer that someone quickly put together kind of thing?

Well, thanks guys, I will take those comments on board, sadly I like the font. Its a leisure product, to me it feels like a light touch, not childish.:D

Even so it still looks unprofessional :) Seriously, don't use comic sans, that is not just a personal thing, but it makes it look like someone has knocked it up on there home PC which is not the effect you want to go for!
