Hello to you All. Herewith my introduction. :D
I have been in my own business now for almost two years, specialising in the southern Africa travel and tourism industry. Performing business services and functions from Dublin, Ireland.
Please visit our website for all the information: www.capeholidays.net
I am sure most of you will not be too suprised to hear this and beneath:-
During the time we have been operating, we have not found the concept of travel and tourism to southern Africa very easy to sell to the local irish market.
From expereince and practice, Due to the concept being relatively new. The irish are still used to their holiday in Spain and the busy 'rip-off' Med regions and to be quiet honest they do not have the money! or the open vision or being sufficiently adventurious to look elsewhere for their holidays.
I must admit we are working very hard with our constant awareness campaigns. Alas... the irish want everything for nothing.
Therefore, we target areas further afield to name, Germany, Netherlands and the USA and then just across the pond, the UK which we are more successful in our business dealings. And not a problem on paying for our excellent service either. In most cases works out quite reasonable in price and yes, it does depend on the fluctuating currencies exchange rates of the day.
And a most interesting issue is the amount of South Africans in South Africa who contact us to arrnage all their holidays and safaris, even
the more unusual holiday requests and weddings, honeymoons and special functions and events, to name a few.
We have registered the company in South Africa that enables this section of the business and will soon be opening an office down in the Cape.
South Africa holiday establishments KNOW how to provide a service and certainly with a smile. The quality of hotels and accommodations are far more superior in standard than most irish establishments that boast all kinds and insundry, they just do not shape up to those standards set by South Africa.
As a result, I shall certainly be returning to SA for at least 6 months of the year, every year. It will be a total pleasure. 8) Kewl-A-Bewla!
