Can anyone recommend any online project collaboration tools?

I'm aware of Basecamp, which looks like it'll fit the bill, but I wanted to see what else is available.

Do one. I had a friend who worked for a big consultancy (sadly passed away, nothing to do with the software), and he said it was the best package he'd used.

Thanks for the info guys.

MS Project isn't what I'm after as I want an online collaboration tool. The other ideas are good though.

(I agree with your late friend about MS Project. I was a Prince2 PM in a former life and it's an excellent planning and management tool)

I hear good things about FogBugz as an all round tool for project management, bug tracking, forums, estimate analysis, timesheets, etc. Plan to use it myself when I next get a team together

We use Huddle (www dot huddle dot net) at our company - similar to Basecamp but faster and home-grown! (based in Bermondsey, London).

As our company is still small, we still get away with having a free account which is really amazing given the quality of the application and the tools on offer!

As our team is distributed remotely, we're finding that the newest version of Skype for Windows' desktop sharing feature is invaluable - not only can you talk about a project/piece of work, you can also work almost entirely remotely as well!

Skype together with Huddle are two technologies we would be lost without TBH.

A couple of our products could really help you out - please have a look at our website cloudsuk.com

If its just the projects side you are looking at then Construction Manager (not just aimed at the construction industry as the name may suggest) would be an ideal product for you allowing you to run and manage any number of projects from from intial planning through to conclusion. You can invite as many users as you wish at no extra cost and also have the ability to set the permissions for each user so you can ensure they only have access to the files/documents etc relevant to them.

If you would like any further information please give me a shout anytime either by PM or you can call our office 0800 1583093
