Business partner to grow our business

Hi,

We are a young creative design company which has been established two years.

We have been targetting the government as a source of business, and recently won a framework agreement with the C.O.I for design & creative services.

We need a "front-man" who can become part of our team, represent us and provide the necessary skills in face to face meetings with middle to senior management, taking accurate briefs, advising the client on the best route to take in order to achieve their goals, someone with marketing knowledge .... and we need the same person to foster sales ... and we want that person to be financially involved with the company. A participating white knight.

My question is simply this, does such a person exist and how the hell do we locate this person?

Yes people like that do exist-they are called business angels (can be a misnomer in my opinion)

I've just had a quick look at the site and as you say, it seems to be a good start point.

I noticed that the angels can offer entrepreneurial skills as well as investment and that is the direction we feel we need to follow.

I'd say that person would be a marketing executive, and I would have thought that advertising for people to offer their services would be a good place to start. Maybe advertise in Marketing Week if you have the budget. If not, reed.co.uk offers a 'freecruitment' service.
