My client is after sending out A5 postcards. These have been designed to look like postcards and have a picture of an old historical stamp with 'Buckingham Palace post mark' stamped over it. They are wanting to put a real stamp on some of these and post them out directly - can't find this info on Royal Mail and wondered if anyone can advise.
I guess the easiest thing would be to give Royal Mail a ring...

I did a mailing campaign a while back with a false stamp, and I got a call from the royal mail, telling me a had to withdraw the mailing due to it was against the law to print a false stamp. Was seen to be like printing bank notes.
Any other questions, give me a ring.... happy to help with any personalised printing as well.

could you use Royal Mail's SmartStamp and stick labels over the top of the false stamps covering them up?

what is the volume of the mailing?
If above £5 or a few hundred cards, use RM's PPI. You would print the post mark on the card, ideally when producing the card and you would get a discount on the postage costs.

sorry, didnt take the OP in totally - Smartstamp would be a good option, or, again, the PPI printed onto a label (with the address?).
