Well, today is definitely Telecoms day.
Travelling between the US, France and the UK, I have ended up with 2 mobiles phones: one for France and one for the USA. I am considering getting a third for the UK, but even this won't solve my main problem which is the horrendous international costs when I'm in the "wrong" country. For example, if someone calls my French mobile while I'm in the States, there's a knock at the door after a few minutes as the medical team arrive to remove a kidney so I can pay for the call.
What I need is a joined-up international roaming service that doesn't cost an internal organ, whether it be with 1, 2 or 3 phone accounts. Ideally, I'd have just one phone and some sort of routing system. Even a France-UK or European-wide solution would be good. Any ideas?
Thanks.
David.
