Sorry to be asking this - I'm sure there's a really simple answer, but I've searched google & pay pal and I can't find it. I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction.

We use paypal to take payments from our website. I want to introduce some money off offers, for example 10% if you join our Face book fan page etc.

How do I set this up in paypal, so, for example our Face book fans can enter the code FB91 and have 10% taken off their order at checkout.

Thanks in anticipation of your help,

Jeff

You can't setup promotional code discount in Paypal, so if you are using the Paypal basket you will not be able to do this.
You need to do it in your our system/database/shopping basket.

Hope this helps

Hi Jeff,

You could continue to use Pay Pal at the final payment stage to accept your customer order payments, but switch from the basic Pay Pal shopping basket to using the Shop Integrator shopping basket ecommerce plugin solution (http://www.shopintegrator.com/) for everything before the final Pay Pal payment page.

This will give you a shopping basket which keeps your shopper in the same page as your website (instead of launching a new window like the Pay Pal basket) and allows you to create and offer discount codes (http://www.shopintegrator.com/feature/online-shop-customer-and-order-management.html) to your shoppers which they enter in the checkout process.

It would be a straightforward process of copy and pasting the Shop Integrator ecommerce plugin text for your products in place of the current Pay Pal buttons you have in place on your web pages. In the same way as you've integrated Pay Pal in to your pages, there is no software to install on your web host to use the Shop Integrator solution.

Please have a look at our website for more details and feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
