Hi all, Thought i'd introduce my new company which I'm looking to start by the end of this year - Office Cleaning.
I'm currently at university and want to start a small business whilst at university so that I'll have something to work full time on by the time I leave uni, and office cleaning seemed the best option.
I welcome any help and advice from anyone.
I'd be really grateful if people could tell me what kind of forms I may be needing. I think I've got them sorted anyway, but some advice from you would be helpful just so I can assure myself I've got the correct documentation.
Thanks :D

Hi,
This may seem like on odd question, but why bother with university at all?
If you were just setting this company up to make a few quid to pay the bills through university and then do something else when you leave then fair enough - but if your goal is to setup a full time cleaning business when you leave then why not just start it now and save all the time and money that getting a degree will cost you?

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. apologies for not getting back to you, just havent been back to these forums in quite some time what with university exams and assignments etc and on top of that the business work etc lolz
but Dymo king, you said why bother with university at all? good question. thats what I ask myself at times as well. I mean, after uni i wish to go into business anyway to build a brand but I thought I could start the business whilst at university, and having a degree on the side is good as a backup just in case all else fails.
Apart from that, there isnt much point in studying for a degree (unless its in medicine ofcourse). but yeah, hope that answered your question lol
Check out the website www sabka co uk ... its only temporary as I'm getting a proper one done at the moment and should be ready within a month, so why not keep in tune and check the new one out soon and let me know what you think =D
cheers guys

Hi Zee
Very good luck with the business.
I see you're in Birmingham - so let us know if we can help you b/c we're just up the road in Sutton...
(If you need some forms/contracts etc maybe we can do a wee bit of a barter if it helps you!) :)
Best wishes
Brian

Hi Brian,
I wouldn't mind bartering, what do you have in mind? I mean, we offer a wide range of services ranging from ironing, shopping errands, patio cleaning, window cleaning, office cleaning, domestic cleaning
Thanks

Definitely stay at university and then go for it with your business - makes sense to do both rather than give one up and put all your eggs in one basket.

Hi,
I am new in this forum and any help/advice will be much appreciated.
I am planning to start up a cleaning business soon.I have been through lot of online info also read couple of ebooks and currently setting up professional website but would like to make few inquiries.
I am starting with 3-5 staff members on pay as they go basis until i establish my company and recruit permanent staff.
Do i need public liability insurance for commercial cleaning or its required for domestic as well?
Do i need any other courses apart from Coshh being a employer?
Please recommend any reliable Pub insurance company?
Where i can buy cleaning stuff, i mean if you know any warehouse or wholesaler and please provide a list of all cleaning products for commercial and domestic use?
Any ideas how to win office contracts?
Are key holding & public liability same insurance or different?
Do you have to pay for CRB check for staff members?
Any idea about investment?
Thanks a lot

Exactly, these are wise words! Get the degree complete; you must only have 4 or so months to go so left in your degree. I certainly admire where your thinking already stands at this stage. Best of luck
