Getting through to HMRCE

For the last two days I've been trying to get through to three separate areas of HMRCE. All have been permanantly engaged.

Am I just being unlucky at the moment, or is there a bigger problem?

Anyone else suffering with this at the moment?

Nothing out of the ordinary - have been been using the agent priority numbers?

It seems to be worse than ever at the moment.

It's two of the VAT departments and a PAYE department that I'm trying to contact. I didn't think there was a priority line for VAT?

I havent had to speak with any VAT/PAYE departments for a few days so am unsure if they have any specific problems. I too am unware of any agent numbers for VAT.

We had a problem getting through to them after they sent a letter saying our corp tax had not been paid even though it had been paid online 2 weeks before the letter was sent :eek:

Took ages to get through and it sounded like the girl that answered the phone was the only 1 taking the calls for this type of query
