Sending money to India

Hi,

I just wanted to have some ideas on what is the best and cheapest way to send money abroad (To India in particular). In case anyone has done this before?.

Best to use Western Union. Depending on the amount, it can cost as little as £15.00 and the good thing about it is the money is usually ready to be uplited to the payee in around 15 - 20 minutes.

However, there are restrictions on how much you can send.

I've used WU many times and never had ny problems.

Alternatively, set up a Paypal account.

Or just do a straight bank transfer from your bank, although it does take 3 to 4 days to get there.

I think western union will be expensive, paypal is good solution for India.
