Matt says .coms in geo results are cool...we think so toooo!;)

I looked at this vid twice and I think Matt has misunderstood the question. The question is "Why are the UK serps still really poor with irrelevant UK sites (US/AUS/NZ) ranking high Google.co.uk since early June"!
He then talks about UK searchers seeing .com results? He's lost the plot on this one.
Here's an example with plenty of irrelevant USA results,

if I type "eat outdoors" into Google I don't want results from other countries.

Personally I was glad that Matt states G will run with .coms I have the .co.uk's but have never bothered utilising them.
In my market New Zealand & Oz sites have been high in the SERP's for about 12 months now. Matt says that they are getting better at detecting geo relevance, so is that just fobbing people off, whilst they try to get that aspect fixed?

A lot of those vids are pretty woolly and vague, if I was knitting I could have made a jumper by now ;)

... woolly ... jumper
That's why Oasis is getting all those hits from down under.
They are still searching for that elusive cross breed.

Has anyone else noticed that, despite what Cutts says about them
carrying on with this, the results appear to have swung back a little
to pre-June results?
