Hello all,

Just a quick one to introduce ourselves and hope we can be of help to others who arrive at the forum.

Women Want - www.womenwant.co.uk has been established for 3 months now and is a destination site for women to find the latest products, offers and services from the leading stylish providers in the UK.

We already have over 40,000 monthly unique visitors arriving at the Women Want and we have a great platform to put advertisiers in front with this target demographic audience.

We have also just launched a new area of the site offering low cost advertising whilst supporting breast cancer charities - any opinions on this would be greatly recieved - www.womenwant.co.uk/site_gdpage.asp

The founders of the site and parent company have all worked in online marketing for the past ten years and as such we all bring a multitude of skills to the business. We promote the site through a number of different online strategies and as such execute them throughout the year. This does encompass PPC and viral marketing as well as other techniques - accompanied by some offline.

If you have any questions we'd only be happy to help and look forward to contributing to this forum. I hope that we might learn new things along the way as well!

Hello Lee

Welcome to the forum. www.womenwant.co.uk is a clean and tidy site that is also easy to navigate, It isnt it all just oveture links though? Do you earn money as soon as someone clicks on a link or do they have to visit the site for a certain time period and make a purchase?

Hi Russ - thanks for your comments! The actual directory itself is powered by Overture and as such our USP here is targeting a specific demographic as opposed to everyone under the sun. Simular to your Google links on your sites I guess?

As I'm sure you are aware affliations can also be based on user activity based on a certain length of time (i.e cookie based). We are getting a large amount of advertisers asking to advertise on the site and because of this we have just launched the new grid area of the as forementioned.

I saw the grid area, again nice and clean and tidy. Since hearing of the milion dollar home page I have seen a lot of these. I like that you are donating to charity though (quick plug for the UKBF fixers comming up) we have a team running UD agents, full thread at http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=5654 which you are welcome to join...

It's certainly the most stylish shopping directory site I've seen in a long time and I see quite a few.

I'm not a big fan of sites which just reproduce other peoples search results, however, as I'm not convinced that they are actually contributing the user experience.

But this one looks very nice so perhaps the user wont' realise they could have just used a search engine instead.
