View Full Version : Do you really know what you do all day?

I dont have the discipline to record start and end times for every bit of work I do to total up time spent on a specific project in order to see what the hourly rate turned out to be (most projects are paid as a project fee rather than hourly)

So I've written a little program that records exactly which window on my commputer was active and for how long. The idea being that I can now check for any day exactly how long (to the second) I spent working on project x, project y, checking email, reading UKBF, etc.

If I developed this into a user friendly program with an easy-to-use interface, would this be of use to you too?

Hi Duane,

I don't always keep an accurate account of my hours although I should. Your programme would be of great interest to me - if there is a demand, how soon before availability?

No idea yet, possibly a week or two depending on other demands.

If you'd have no problem editing an ini file for settings and running your own sql queries in access db then you're welcome to it sooner, but i think mot people will need an intuitive interface.

I haven't a clue what all that means so I'm ok to wait for it thanks :D

I think I'm likely to sack myself at the end of the month when I realise how long I've spent on UKBF instead of working!
