HI all

I am here really to get some advice and support and to see if any of my idea's are any good.

I live in glasgow age 33 and as long as i can remember i have always wanted to start my own business. I have a few issues no confidence in my abilities, nobody around me with the same idea's and mind set everyone i meet are negative and always trying to put me down.

I have one big stumbling block that takes me a while at times to get over as im dyslexic and when dealing with all these regulations and so on, what might take you a few minutes to read and undersand can take me hours or days.

I sold my house last year and what little i have left £8k would love to start my own business, iether a sandwich shop or a sandwich delivery business. Last year i did register with companies house my business and did get a lease on a shop but due to all this being new to me and my dyslexia what should have taken me a few week turned into 2 months and the landlord pulled out, which i undersand but leaves me frustrated.

I do or did run 2 ebay shops and have 3 or 4 websites that i run also one of which is for small startup businesses to talk through and bounce idea of each other.
I Work in IT and have done so for 8+yrs and hate every second and hoping to see in i get redunency in the coming weeks.

So i am sorry if words are no spelt correctly or my grammer is not that good.

I feel if Richard Branson can do it then so can i but at times the doubt is just overwhelming.

Thanks for reading the thought and ranks

Welcome and don't worry about being dyslexic, I am and have always found that with a little more care in what you do, it doesn't need to be an issue. The plus side is that after you've re-read something, it's often better work than someone who just assumes it's ok from the outset.

Only advice I would offer re starting up the business is to take it one step at a time, i.e. don't throw all your saving straight into something. A sandwich round sonds good, very little start up costs.
