Hi there,

I think your website could do with a little make over and some of the English needs tightening up, I'm happy to do the English for you and give you soem advice with the site.

I am an expat living in Latvia with a web design business and also I teach English to Latvians here so I’m well aware of foreign companies trying to reach an English speaking market. British love their language like to see correct English at work.

I admit my quick 'internet' English at times is bad but that’s more typing than application!

Happy to take 5 and correct your English for you if you want, PM me for assistance.

Welcome here,

Gary

It was very slow, and the tourism page said it was unavailable. Today it came up, but still slow.

Bit harsh Sviat, creo was only trying to help.

And Creo, check your spelling on your posts, it could be misconstrude that your english is also bad.

However I cant really talk. I am english and fast fences often picks me up on my grammer!! LOL

Good luck to both of you

Site reads-'Thank you for interesting in our company.'
Should read- 'Thank you for your interest in our company'

Site reads-'We are sure in a good quality of our services and looking for long-time partnership'

Should read-'You can be assured of the high quality of our service, and we are looking for long term partnerships' (even this out of context doesn't make perfect sense but the grammar is correct)

Just a couple of more obivious mistakes shown above.

I am very sure of my English because a) I teach English and b) I am English and have been for 32 years now.

No of course you don't need my approval but if you are dealing with the English you will need their approval. You know its OK to make mistakes there’s plenty on here who are happy to help but arrogance and proudness won't get you very far, not with the English anyway.

There you go, a free impromptu English lesson and a business tip! My offer to help you with your English remains open.

Yeah I’m aware of spelling but it's more too quick typing and not checking, you should see instant messaging conversations it's almost like a different language. But that’s a far cry to front end websites which I check with a fine tooth comb!

I admit my quick 'internet' English at times is bad but that’s more typing than application!

Cheers

We're all in a rush so there's always bab spilling in forums and as Claire rightly says, it can be misconstrude, or should that be misconstrued? :?

But creospace is absolutely right - there's a big difference in getting it wrong on here, and getting it wrong on your main web site.

Coud be, but I think it was a bit out of order from his side If He really wanted to help I would think he should write me in private not trying to put me down in front of everybody saying
that my english sucks. At list this is my point of vieve. And I am pretty sure the english on the site is ok.

Sviat. Please.

No one has said they know everything and no one has said that your English sucks. Myself and others have offered positive criticism of your business and site in order for you to increase your business and ultimately your profits.

Of course it's your prerogative to ignore that advice and offers of help.

I wish people would offer me ways to improve my business and gain new clients on a plate, most people don’t even offer the courtesy of a reply (perhaps I’ll post about this on a new thread)!

Fondest Regards

The person who taught you good english should also taught good maners and how to behave as tactful man. This kind of thing should be writen in private.Simply saying lack of good breeding. So we can offer you few lessons of how to be polite. For you free of charge

Sviat we will have to agree to disagree as good gentlemen do.

Our cultures are vastly different but remember this is a UK business forums and british culture will reign here. Seeing that I currently live in an eastern block country I am well aware how cultures differ when discussing such topics and for that matter how relatively polite we are in the west, not perfect granted!

If you started in russian now let me corrected it
nichevo should be nichego
ponel should be ponial
asjol should be osjol
nemozes should be nemozhesh
delajes should be delajesh
galave shoud be golove
sabja should be sebia
neumeish should be ne umeesh
So as you and everybody can see now that you are not so smart as you was trying to present yourself I do not think my english is as bad as your russian.Good luck

Hey creospace - thats not fair! By the way, loved the images you did for Claire - excellent stuff.

Mr. Sviat, calm down - nobody is being rude, just trying to help you out. That's what we do in here. If someone pointed out errors on my site I'd thank them and make some changes. And why you quoted me back there is beyond me.

I don't care if creospace was right or wrong the way he do it was completely out of order complete lack of good maners .I already said and will repete this kind of things should be written in private not shown to everybody.
I will give you very simple example imagine you are the businessman who are going on the very important business meeting in the city of London were he is going to promote his company so he is sitting on the metting with dozens of other respectable business men around and then suddenly some show off pop up guy standing up and start saying that you have bad suit, lack of taste and so on....and he keep shouting this infront of the crowd!!!Who will like this???As I said before this kind of thing shold be done quietly and in private.
At list all well manered people do this way.
I am always ready to listen but I would not ever tolerate such attitude!

English Saying - If you cannot handle the heat, get out of the kitchen!

I'm afraid we all need to put up with attitudes we don't like sometimes - yes Gary may have offered help when it wasn't asked for but it seems it was help and not meant to be taken as an insult.

This threads probably exhausted of positive outcomes now so I'm locking it - because this isn't even 2 UK companies going head to head. According to your IP addresses you both are outside of the UK.

Please don't open this issue up in another thread.
