Its always worth asking BUT you are in a very crowded and savvy market, investors do not see a good enough return in retail. I would not hold your breath.
See if there are any investor BA/VC networking events in your area. Ask Business Link. also see if there are any franchise events there are usually funders there.

How much money are you putting in Martin. If is nought - forget it. No-one is going to lend you £15K if you are not prepared to risk your own.

So you want to enter in to the market with 15k?
A good website is going to cost you this amount so where is the marketing money?

Hey liams,
Im looking for £15 k investment for the company. I also have savings and money to contribute myself like it says above.
My website wont be costing me £15k either. My two best friends who both have honours passes in web design and marketing designed my website. They have a very respectable business going and offer design solutions to some big brands. The website is complete. The money im looking for is for marketing and working capital.
thanks

The investment is exciting, But you really need to have the interest and knowledge of the fashion industry to make a company work in such a crowded market.
My idea and plans include a lot of things company’s online don’t do. In ways of customer service, Niche stock markets and quality/pricing.
Its took me nearly a year and a half to get the ball rolling on this concept, So it hasn’t just been thrown together.
All my plans and ideas are clear and i know what i need to stride for.
martin.

A couple of questions
What percentage of returns are you expecting from your customers, which will be much higher than bricks and mortar shops as the customers cannot feel and try on the garment.
With fashon wear, it leads you wide open to fraud where the buyer uses the dress etc for the big night out then rips a corner and send it back as faulty, have you fully understood the Distant Selling Regulations

hey chris,
Ive been looking into this for the last year and a half. Its the same as any other company out there. Every one of them can be scamed like that. At the end of the day all we can do is await the return of the garment and best deal with a solution.

You are quite right all can be scammed, but with Fashon you have to problems, one the garment must be the right size for the person and all clothing manufacturers use different sizes for the standard size, so size 12 may be a bust of 36 inches with one manufacture and 37.5 with another, ask any woman plus it's how they look on the person, hense a higher percentage of returns, the woman wants to look her best
Second the scams again higher than most other items
As long as you factor this in to your figures its no problem like shoplifting, its when you don't make allowances you find a great supprise down the line

I would add to what Chris said. Go into any post office on a Mon or Tues morning and you will find at least half a dozen customers with huge laundy bags full of returns. The weight and size of each parcrel shows that almost all are clothes and few are being returned for genuine reasons.
It is a long established scam with home shopping catalogues. Order something for the party at the weekend and return it monday morning on some pretext and that is what it is - nothing to do with size's. Most women know the European sizing these days.
My ex had boutiques over 10 years ago and women knew it then. Whats more she hardly ever got a retrun. The odd mohair jumber of dress perhaps that had been roughly washed. These party popers I can asuure you don't even bother to do that.
If I were to factor this in the I would write off 30% of sales and unlike a traditional boutique you can't have a dump bin to get anything back.
Anyway. Good luck with your venture Martin but frankly I can't see you raising the funding. Especially when you said it was needed for cash-flow. To most investors that means paying you wages when the business in not earning anything.
