Hi everyone.

I noticed a few posts about BNI, so I wanted to share my experience.

I had a business a few years ago, and I joined a BNI group.

In the first few months I got little return, and was thinking of leaving.

One of the older members took me aside, he said that I just had to wait, once one or two people used my services, the others would here how good I was and it would start to work.

The next week I went in and offered a huge cut price deal, I got three bits of business, which I made a little money on, but the feedback I got was amazing.

From that point on the business started to trickle in, until by the end of the year BNI accounted for 65% of my business.

It works in different ways for different businesses, but it does work.

So much so, that haveing arrived back from living overseas, and being unable to find a BNI group that did not alreadyu have my business, I have just started a new group, meeting in Belfast every wedensday morning.

You are more than welcome tocome along and have breakfast with us to see what its all about,.

I guess its like any other form of marketing, it works if you work it.

Agreed - not been a member long - but have to say it's helped...

I've not reduced my fees, but still it's working as planned...gives me a base from which to build my reputation...and once earned (fairly)...built upon...

PS - will ask for invite if I'm ever in the area...

Hi, I'm new to this forum and noticed your comments about BNI in Northern Ireland. I am part of a core group to start a BNI Chapter in Newtownabbey / Carrickfergus and would be keen to hear from anyone who would be interested in coming along to our next meeting on 17th November.
