Hi

My hubby received a phone call from a male person who said he wanted to buy the domain name affiliatecatalogue.co.uk from us.

My hubby bought ir a while back and has never used it.

The male offered him £50. My hubby said no 'thanks'

A couple of hours later he rang back again. This time you could tell because of the background noise he was in a call centre. This time he offerred £150 for the domain.

The domain he's after is www.affiliatecatalogue.co.uk

Any idea how much this is worth? He's not really interested in selling it but just out of interest incase this person phones back!

As with everything in life, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
£150 is reasonable I think. Tell him you'll sell for £500 see where you end up.

Lisa,

Whatever price you agree specify that he covers all transfer charges and Nominet fees or take them into account in the price see: http://www.nic.uk

Hope this helps,

Rob

Does it get any traffic? Might be worth parking it on SEDO for a while if you are curious about about value.

If the guy rings again and offers to pay you by money transfer into your bank account, then it's probably a phishign trip anyway.

Nice domain name, for £150 i'd be tempted myself

I was thinking the same smallbiz. It's not hard to imagine the range of services that could go through there.
