20GB Bandwith. What does it mean????

Can anyone tell me if 20GB of bandwith a month is really good or not. What does it really mean???

the 'user level' meaning of bandwidth (quoted on web hosts websites as part of a hosting package) is 'download volume' this means if you have a 1Mb website it could be downloaded 20,000 times (think of 1Gb=1000Mb) per month

Actually it's a little different but I won't get techie and say the real meaning of bandwidth or the real values of MB to Gb!

For the average user yes it's ample - but obviously I don't know your application etc - for a busy music download site it's a drop in the ocean.

I'd hazard a good guess and just say yes ;)

most websites use less than 100mb of bandwidth per month, so 20gb is more than adequate for, at a guess, over 99% of sites on the web.

Just for clarity 1GB=1000MB (well, 1024 to be precise)

and for reference, of the couple of hundred sites we host, less than 10 use more than 10GB per month
