Hi,
I had an email which contained text and pictures sent, how do I cut the pictures out and save them, so I can add them to an advertisment. I cannot seem to move the file from Word to the internet pages.
Thanks
Jayne :D

Generally if you put your cursor over the image and click the right hand button on your mouse, you will have an option to 'save picture as'.
This will allow you to save the image on your hard drive for use elsewhere.

Hi,
Tried that, and there is only cut and paste option in Word. I could only save the whole document and I only want the pictures.
Thanks :D

Jayne try cutting the image and pasting it into something like photshop or even paint.
If you use paint make sure you shrink the white space first to make sure the image enlarges it to be a perfect fit.
Then save as and you should just have the images. If not PM me and I will have a look for you.

Hi Chris,
Not got either of those programs...I printed off the doc', cut out the pics and scanned them, seems to have worked, just takes ages to do.
Thank You

What windows are you using Jayne?
If you click your start button, then to programs or (all programs for XP), then accessories, paint should be on that menu as it is a standard feature of Windows.

I know you've done it now, but next time (and for better results!), you can try using Windows Paint (Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint).
In Word, right click the picture, select Copy.
Switch to (or run) Paint, the Edit/Paste. Before you click anything else (so you'll still have the pasted image selected), click Edit/Copy To..., then you should get a save dialogue box. Don't save as a BMP (the default), as not all web browsers will see it. Probably (for pictures), you'll want to save as a JPEG.
Hope this helps,
Steve

If all else fails you can always hit the 'print screen' button on your keyboard which will copy what's on the screen to the clipboard and then paste it into Word or any other program.

I either do mine in Paint Shop Pro or in my paint programme, depending on whether I need to resize it or not.

I've got 18 ads on my site so far in a week and still have time to come on here. (I also do all the paperwork for the Bakey too) I leave the forum logged on, just in case I get stuck and I can ask a question. I am a workaholic, sleep when i'm dead
