Is Affiliates a Good thing or a Bad thing?????

Hi Everyone

I am starting my own web site and was wondering does anyone know of a good Affiliate company. I would like to earn some money to pay for my web site. Also is joining Affiliates a good thing or a bad thing? Are there any affiliates that pay for referral or do people have to sign up before you earn money.

As long as you don't expect to make mega bucks overnight, then I think affiliate schemes are a good thing.

So long as you pick affiliate schemes with products which are relevant to your site's visitors then it shouldn't be too hard to earn enough to cover the cost of your hosting.

There is a page on our site that lists some of the main affiliate networks in the UK (see http://www.advice4businesses.co.uk/affiliate-marketing.shtml). All of these offer merchants from a wide range of industries and all the required links and banners are provided for you.
