Hello all

Can I get some help re starting a free networking club inmy area does any run one start one any ideas like when why and how.

It is based around rual and small town businesses.

I would like it to be for Business 2 Business ie small companies like my business and some of you on the forum.

The main aim is to allow networking and rasise awareness of whats happening in the small business world.

Our local chamber of commerce arrange "High Teas" at different companies, allowing them to show other people around their premises and give a short presentation about themselves, whilst at the same time allowing others to network and get free wine and nibbles :D

I am in the process of setting up a networking event and we are holding it in the private bar of a pub.

I agree the pub is the way to go, people relax and get talking more after a couple drinks and before you know it you could be building some pretty valuable relationships there just because of a couple of beers.

Everyone would be to official and on best behaviour in a hotel or at home meetings.

The networking events I run start in a private room, usually a central London location, and then moves on to the pub.
