What is Jarva Chat?
What is fantastico?
What is phpBB installer and bulletin boards?
Are these all free to ad to my site and what are they all for please?

Head over to www.cpanel.net for docs etc...
But basically all those things you have just listed are self-installable scripts, you simply tell cpanel what you want to install and where you want to put it and it does the rest (files, databases etc).
Java Chat = So you can host a chatroom on your website
Fantastico = An add-on for cPanel that allows you to install a lot more scripts.
phpBB & Bulletin Boards = So you can have your own Forums.

Hi,
Me again, I put the forum one in and it's nothing like this one, it says i've to put the sections in myself...do I have to try the code put in thing or is there an easier way I missed..clicked on everthing and nothing on the forum would open.
Oh it's hard work, I can understand why you techy people moan about not getting paid enough
Thanks
Jayne
Oh and that link you gave me  how can I put it....lost in translation

Jayne - When you installed your Forum (which one did you install by the way?) you should have been given a link to the admin section? (This is usually yourdomain.com/where_your_forum_is/admin )
From the admin section you can add categories/forums and configure the forum just how you want it, as for it looking like this one... You will need to add a new "skin" to get it to look differently... Have a search on google for skins for your make of forum software.
I can't really go into any more detail without knowing what software you installed - it's a steep learning curve at times... But if I was you, I would keep to the standard "skin" for now and learn what all the admin "bits 'n bob's" do

if you installed phpbb it is almost exactly the same as this one, just with a different skin so the appearance is slightly different.
You have to add the different forums / sub forums that you want manually

Hi Jayne
It depends on which free forum you get, although most of the time its phpbb. Dont forget that for each of these scripts you are installing it will be using up a database and you need to keep an eye on how many you have if you have a limited amount.
By adding sections are you talkin individual categories within your forum? If so then you do this through your admincp or whatever its called in phpbb. Its a while since i have used that one now.

Believe it or not they are pretty simple, although I can understand why they are daunting if you havent done one before. You dont use any of the messengers do you, msn, yahoo or AOL?

You must have AOL Messenger then as I am sure that is supplied to everyone that has AOL. Outlook is a lot better if you get a lot of mail.
