Does Dropshipping really work, or is it too good to be true, it sounds it to me?

What are the pitfalls ?

We are a dropshipper for lingerie and we have over 500 customers and they love it it all depends on the product you want to do as not all dropshippers give you a good margin.
Please let us know how you get on.

At the moment I`m not too sure what products I want to sell. I have been thinking about hair & beauty products, or doggy things, but I must say that your products look quite intresting !

Obviously, its going to come down to what %age profits are available. I am planning on starting in Jan next year, so for the time being its research, research !

Plenty of money in dropshipping, the really hard part is finding a decent dropshipper who keeps the right stock levels etc.

You gain in many respects, but lose part of the control of your business, ie you rely on the dropshipper not to let you down, so if you decide to use one choose wisely.

Dropshipping has its benifits and pitfalls, I have personally worked on a few sites for clients that where just fed by dropshipping feeds and to be fair they all do pretty well. I suppose it is down to finding a reputable drop shipper like MH1 said.

I have been interested in dropshipping for sometime but always back off the idea as I am not sure of how it all works.

Is there a good site that can get you started? Also you all say to find a good dropshipper but where is best to go to find them?

We offer a dropshiiping service for our wellies and we have several dropshippers who do very well at it, you need to have a site that is relevant and if you have that then there is money to be made :)

It can depend heavily on WHAT you want to dropship. As with any retail style business, finding a good, reliable supplier is the main issue.

If you can do that, then it's a case of establishing sales channels (assuming you have already gauged market demand for a likely product), and making an entrance..!
