Hi,

I am planning to set-up a new website, for retailing fashion jewellery. I am starting with very limited resources, and hence want to myself handle the shipping of products to begin with. But at the moment, I have no clue how to go about it.

Once, I have got the orders, what's the best and cheapest way to ship them, what sort of resources would be required? and any other related info. would be helpful?

Also, once the sales increase, is it actually possible to outsource shipping to another co.?

Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

regards
Ash

Hi Al,

Just to clarify to begin with, we wont be shipping expensive jewellery, its beaded fashion jewellery, range would be from 10 - 20 pounds.

Although at a later stage, we would also start with silver.

Thanks
Ash

Use Royal Mail. You might want to use the recorded delivery but for such low cost stuff it is covered to £28 by first class mail.

Once you get your quantities up you can use packet post and save money.

Royal Mail Special Delivery is also very good for lightweight valuable stuff.
