I´m Gary and live in hannover, Germany

I have been self employed here in Germany as a ceramic tiler for the last 15 years. Due to the typical tilers knees I cannot carry on with my career.

I found this forum by chance and see there lots of helpful and informative people around. maybe some of you can help...........

I am looking now for a new start (45 years old) and would appreciate any advice or ideas ideas on how or what.

I would like to source produts in Germany for prospective buyers, anything from automotive to hairgrips. I have lived in Germany for 23 years and am fluent in German (probably my greatest asset at the moment)

Any feedback would be appreciated

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Gary

Hi Gary, Welcome to the forums.

You say that the language is your greatest asset at the moment. Use it to your advantage you could possibly find employment doing translation work. I'm not too sure how well it pays but it might be worth a try.

I'm sure there will be more suggestions and ideas following - good luck

John.

Welcome Gary :D

I used to be head of marketing for a sourcing company that was based in Paris.

They specialize in bits and pieces like water fountains and air conditioning units etc.... Tough marketing to break into.

Do you live in a town or city ? Why not open a shop or online shop that sells UK and USA products - both food / household and novelty.

I have been to a few shops like that in France and they work really well.

Just an idea - If I can be of anymore help dont hesitate to ask.

Best of luck.

Jacqui
