I'm just getting into the whole Twitter thing - it's certainly great fun - and was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions about Twitter from an SEO perspective -

Do the links within tweets pass Google juice?
What are your thoughts on Twitter as an SEO tool?

Thanks

Liam

Twitter links are nofollow so little use for seo.

Can be good for traffic however.

Personally I don't use twitter as a link building resource.

I think there are other places that you gain gain better links for your time.

Although all SEO's have their own opinion.

Found a site called linkbee.com yesterday that shortens your links and puts adverts on so you can earn money from them. Not tried it yet but could be good if you've got a Twitter or blog account that you don't mind sending people to adverts from.

I prefer www.longurl.net it's a url shortening service that alows you to shorten your link and put an ad in form of a frame. This way by linking out to other sources you can still advertise your websites.

Back on topic...

No, twitter links don't cary much SEO value, however networking brings in a great deal of traffic which in turn often converts into some nice backlinks.
