BT tradespace

Am being stalked by this guy from BT tradespace wanting me to build a similar website to mine on there. He keeps going on about how tradespace will rank well and can link back to my own site, etc. I can see the benefits. But these are my issues with it
1) I already have a perfectly good site that ranks mostly on page one of google, why would I contribute to a site that might push my own site down.
2) I think it is confusing for customers to get to a page that is branded by BT.
3) I can't really see the point of it.

Am I missing something? What does everyone else think abotu BT tradespace? If it will push my own site up the rankings then I'd consider it, otherwise I haven't got the time or inclination.

He wasn't called Paul was he? I had a run in with them today. They clearly have a policy of misleading people about their SEO services.

It's completely unethical and nearly cost a good friend of my £££'s.

So BT give us a website where:

It's pretty much owned by them (Bound to be)
Branded by them (Ofcourse :D)
They charge a fee for building it
They charge a 2nd fee for Hosting it
And you have to spend more cash to promote it (Most likely)

BT are definately getting on the directory train, with their purchase of Ufindus Ltd for £20 million.

Now they own CustomerStreet too.
