Credit ref?

Hi,

Please could you tell me how I can get a credit reference done on a couple wanting to rent my flat and what details would I need to get from them. All they have given me so far is a character reference each from there bosses and there names.

I'm sure someone on here can get this done - I have asked a contact i have if he can get one done - not sure if he does or not but will let you know asap

Most banks will do a reference if they hold an account (Apparently Barclays dont though)

Got the answer back Jayne:

I can not do Credit Checks - so do not charge sorry...

You could always ask the tenant to provide an Experian report on
themselves ??? Only costs them £3.00 max great way to check but all
private info is included. - my best thought I am afraid.

Don't forget you'll need the couple's permission first (if you haven't already). You could try Experian (www.experian.co.uk) - they might be able to help. Could be a little tricky being a one off though.
