Chip and pin terminals and merchant accounts

I am currently in the market for a chip and pin terminal and a merchant account.

I’m obviously looking for the absolute cheapest option. I’ve heard about the following companies:

I’m looking to rent for a while as I don’t think I have the money to invest in buying one straight away. I also have no epos system to connect one to.

I have a lot of questions and if anybody can answer just one then id be grateful.

GPRS terminal questions

How much does it cost to rent a GPRS terminal?
Do I have to pay for airtime while having a GPRS terminal?
Is it cheaper to have a GPRS over a fixed line since there is no internet and phone line required?
When renting terminals do I also have to a pay a percentage of my sales to the vendor as well as the percentage I have to pay the merchant account?

Merchant account questions

How much does it cost to set up a merchant account?
How long does it take to set up a merchant account?
Can I get better rates from using one of the companies I mentioned before?

Hi ....just joined this site ,so not sure if you are still looking at getting chip and pin or if you have perhaps changing for better rates.
