Weird question but here goes -
how do you all feel about mosaic as in bits of tile etc arranged in cement to form a design or a picture?
Do you like them?
Enough to consider paying for one, either indoors or outdoors?
Not trying to flog anything - just a bit of tentative market research.

I love them and have done a few myself in my friends gardens as well as a local pre-school. A lot of schools etc win funding from EEDA and the arts council etc to create them. You should look on their web page to see if they are tendering for contracts if you want to do them. Only thing is you'll need to be police checked etc and have evidence of working on previous community projects.

They always remind me of Blackpool tower
I wouldn't pay for things like that, they are easy enough to do yourself. My sister did her own in her bathroom, later she chipped them all off, she said they were a pig to clean in the grouting.
I guess some people may pay for them, depends on taste :D

they also look cool turned into mirrors andpicture frames. There would be a good market for them at craft fairs etc

I would too - I love those type things - especially mirrors. My friend used to buy furniture from second hand shops and give it the mosaic treatment. She's got a gorgeous little stool she did.
Also things like plant pots for outside. People love that kind of thing.

Personally I like them too.
However, there is a balance between doing it yourself and having a quite interesting and possibly good looking mosaic, and then having a work of art then resembles still life or similar. The latter I believe would need a professional artist, the former you can do yourself.
