If your offer is still open, here are my answers:

1) Describe your product in no more than 50 words (provide links to further info / website)

An easy-to-use (no, honestly it is!) bookkeeping/accounts package designed specifically for the small business owner that has minimal accounting knowledge.

2) What is the target audience for the product or service (as much detail as possible e.g. age / socio-economic group / geographical location.)

New buisnesses, sole-traders. Micor enterprises.

3) What is your objective in communicating with this target audience? (Sure, increase sales. Any other objectives?)

Increase sales primarly, but also to make them aware of the product and tempt them to take a free trial.

4) Do you have a preferred method of communication? (Internet / Public Relations / Events / Direct Mail) Or would you like us to recommend the most cost-effective for your marketing brief?

The per-signup price is pretty low, so we are targetting business advisors at the moment. I guess internet would be the most cost-effective for reaching our actual end users - would appreciate your advice.

5) What budget do you have available for this project?

Max £1k a month

6) Any other information.

Hi Duane,

Sorry, but the offer was for the first two people to submit a marketing brief, and they came from RSL and Lisa. We'd very much like to work on your marketing brief, but you'd now have to submit it via our website.

All the best

Arlo

Hi Duane

Your market has a big brand leader i.e. Sage and hence they key to your success will be how you get people to take a chance on a small company with a new product vs. millions of copies of sage being used at ALL levels and hence even gives a migration path if the company grows.

How do you plan to get round this?

Dave

PS Ease of use is easy to say but harder to prove!
