Hi,

I didn't comment as i'm not a techy, I did find the green writing a little hard to read, but i've got sensitive eyes to bright colours. It was a very easy to use site though :D

I wish you all the luck in the world :D

Hi -

I liked the clean look and the use of 'white space' which helps to make it easier to navigate a site.

However, I would break up the long descriptions into paragraphs as the text is quite small and runs into each other.

Also there are some errors and when I clicked onto a job advertised in green on your Jobs page, I tried to click "new search" but it returned a 404 Error which is a "page not found" error.

If I put my web marketing hat on, then I think you need a good angle. The fact that you are marketing part-time jobs only is good. However, you are up against (as you are already aware of, I'm sure) huge, huge jobs websites.

So, If I were in your shoes I would add a "working mothers" or to be more politically correct "working parents" theme to this site with pages that are going to be marketable through search engines on various subjects that are pertinent to people who find themselves in a position where they only want to work part time. Because search engines love text.

there are also lots of "working parents" type forums out there that may be of use to you too.

I hope I am not teaching you to suck eggs - and I wish you all the very best with this venture.

thanks so much for the feedback.. i tried replicating the steps you took that gave you the 404 error, but it didn't give me any error message. can you PLEASE try again and maybe tell me which job it was you clicked on..
THANKS!!

It's quite scary knowing that i'm up against the big guys.. but the idea came to me when i couldn't find a website dedicated to all things part-time because i was looking for a part-time ob but also needed part-time childcare to take care of my kids when i'm working..

I like the idea. Maybe go on to some of the parenting forums and see what they think, whether they would use it or have any ads to place.

Chichester is listed twice btw

Hi,

She's fine - a normal 2 year old  into absolutely everything and currently driving me nuts - bless her!!!!

Check out www.mumszone.co.uk - owned by Ravensfire (a member here). I am sure you will be able to find many places to say 'hi' and offer your services!

Hiya :D It's a really nice looking website, possibly a tad too green as I found it uncomfortable after 10 mins or so. The other thing was when I clicked on courses I found myself going off your site which threw me a little bit. I found it really nice to use though.

Nice to meet you :)

Why not try linking to www.netmums.com they will let you advertise too. I often post my events on there if there fun for kids.

I think you need to split the site up a bit, it appears to be a site offering services, but when you register a service you seem to get job hunting style registration pages.

If you know what I mean?

oh and I agree.....a bit too green

Like the look of the site but not sure that the code looks too well from an SEO point of view. missing metas, lots of clunky javascript, no H1 tags etc etc Fine if you are not relying on the search engines to bring you traffic and haven't paid lots of money to a designer. That said I'm no expert, any of the resident SEO experts wanna qaulify or debunk the comments?
