i have travel web site. it is Pr 2 and some of my friend said me it is very important high P R to get organic traffic so i would like to ask is it important and also they said to get high pr we need backlink. so i m wondering how to get back link and how dose it work.

Having a high PR can mean everything and nothing.:|

Having highly relevant links to your site is of major importance.

PR itself is no guarantee of traffic, although usually a high PR should bring in traffic so long as your website SEO has no issues. Getting a high PR means contantly adding new content, having only unique content on your site (not copying it from somewhere else or making shortcuts like using information pulled from a database) and also having quality and good ranking websites linking to your website, especially using your keywords in the anchor text that they link to you with.

Eg you are targeting the keywords Nepal Travel, you will find that the more websites that link to your site using the words 'Nepal Travel' as the anchor text then the higher your site will appear in search engine results for that phrase

I would treat page rank as a rough guide more than anything else. If you have a decent website with good content that is optimised well for search engines your page rank should improve as a bi-product.

Looking at your site, there is almost the need to add a community - forum, community images (gallery). the community would then be adding great articles, reviews and infor for you

The market is very Niche, but very pasionate

The market would be very easy to segment too - treckers, photographers, plain tourists

I agree - I have a page on my site in google position P4, after 3 days, and I have never even bothered to check my page rank (assume it is pants). In a niche market, understanding where your visitors reside onlne, and how they search is vital

I would agree, when we started up we were probably giving more weight to PR that we should have. Good relevant content is the way forward
