Hi all,

We currently have a website which over time has multiplied itself from 3 original pages into 13 at last count and i think now is the time to cull a few of these pages as we are looking to specialise more, rather than cover every single discipline in the landscape gardening sector.

I own 3 domain names, the original domain, as described above perhaps doesn't come over as professional enough / specialised in the main sector we wish to be seen in, ie Grounds Maintenace. (it has its own page) however i think it would look more professional etc if it had its own domain name etc ?

Can i use the current host to use the other more suitable domain name or do i need to have dedicated hosting for the 2 domains ?

Hi we wrote an article whic discusses what you are looking at see:

You will need an account for each domain name. We can discuss this with you if you want

Yes, unless you are a reseller, you generally need separate hosting accounts for each domain. If you are getting to the 2/3 domains region, getting a reseller account can often be more cost effective. A reseller account normally gives you unlimited hosting accounts for 1 payment. You still need to pay for the domain registrations separatally

You should also check some of the other hosting companies on here do a search for hosting and they will appear.

Whats your point?- there is 1 domain name, with multiple URL's within the domain, just like any other site

The only thing that seems to change is the list of URL's isnt includes on the clicked through page

It really depends on your provider many hosting companies allow you to host more than one domain name per account.

13 pages is not a lot and you won't get more traffic by creating three 4 page websites, probably less.

Each site needs to be promoted and will need a content and marketing strategy do you have the resources for this.

I have checked my host ( uk2.net) for the original website and i have the web business package, which in the promotional literature states i can have unlimited websites with this package.

How would i go about adding these new websites to the account ?

Do they not have a manual or helpdesk? Hosts use a variety of different software, so you are unlikely to get an answer here.
