We are running a charity event on Sunday 6th September 2009 - Local Business Day. 4,000 people and over 50 businesses with converge on Hemel Hempstead Town Centre to celebrate, showcase and create awareness of local business.

We are looking for an event sponsor. As the sole event sponsor the company will get :

- Full colour A5 advert in the one-the-day programme given to over 2,500 people on the day and sent to over 500 local businesses before the event
- 4m x 4m exhibition space (powered) at the event on Sunday 6th September 2009.
- Company logo on 100 A3 full colour posters, promoting the event, that will be in 40 locations in and around Hemel Hempstead
- Company logo and advertorial on the dedicated Local Business Day website

All proceeds are going to the local charity Keech Cottage Childrens Hospice.

If anyone knows of any companies or contacts that l should approach that are either looking to sponsor such an event or you think would be a viable contact then please do let me know.

Kind Regards

Grant

I would approach either local companies or those with their HQ in the area.

Perhaps you could attend a local Chamber breakfast or event and talk to businesses there about the opportunity.

I would also offer them PR and media coverage in the area.

Local Churches and boy and girl clubs are always needing extra funds! They are a great place to start or even Private Schools. Good luck!

In the past I have organized sponsored walks for the Woodland Trust and community "Street" parades in Sheffield and I have had to approach sponsors for thes events.

Having read your thread I think your best aproach would be to contact small to medium sized businesses who would welcome the free publicity you are offering. Unfortunately your free publicity offer isn't large enough to attract the likes of the Paul Sykes Organization or Sir Richard Branson.

I sincerely hope this is of help to you and I wish you all the best.
