I am in the process of specifying an e-commerce website.

Just looking for some tips on what to include in the specification.

Currently these are the things I have covered:

The background of my company
Design / User Interface
Accessibility
Content
Administration (inc. payment methods and processes)

Also how in-depth should the specification be? I'm thinking a couple of pages long detailing the functionality I require...would that be about right?

Many Thanks,

Reginald.

You need to have everything into it - every little detail as in every function you need.

Whatevers on your brief will get done and you can refer to it and help you keep track of the job.

This website specification advice (http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=529269) I posted here a year ago might be useful.

Don't forget the most important people - your customers. What is your target market? Who does the site need to appeal to?
