hi everyone,
i am looking for unpaid work as a bookkeeper . i have done bookkeeping cource with icb and mba from heriott watt university. i know microsoft word and excel as well. as i am searching for unpaid work experience now, its getting very hard to find one. employeers just dont want to take the risk and take any new starters even if they are unpaid.
i will highly appreciate if anyone has got any kind of advice for me ,what shall i do .i am very very keen to adopt accounting as my career and start with bookkeeping .

Is this how you do all your recruitment?

To the OP I know it can be hard to get started (trust me I know!) but be wary of undervaluing yourself. If you are going to do this as a business then be businesslike - charge what you are worth. You might find it useful to join the bookkeepers forum (http://www.book-keepers.org.uk/) (if you are not already) - plenty of people in the same boat as you and lots of advice.
