View Full Version : Interesting marketing courses/workshops/seminars?
Hey All,
I am looking for some interesting marketing courses/workshops/seminars that i can possibly take, i have a training budget of a few k and im trying to see what is out there that might be interesting.
If i cant find anything im considering taking the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing and CIM E-Marketing but that only takes up about half of my budget so i would still need to be looking at other things to do.
If anyone knows of anything that they or a friend has taken/been to/registered on and has enjoyed or is looking forward to please let me know.
If it happens to involve going abroad and gives a good reason for doing so all the better.
Thanks

Hi there,
I've taken quite a few of the CIM one-day courses in my time and they are excellent. I can particularly recommend the online marketing, marketing law and copy-writing courses. It was a while ago when I took them, so I would expect them to be even better now they are more established.
Regards,
Selina

hi
emarketeers (emarketeers.com) offer a range of very useful day courses for SEO, web copywriting, social media, usability, internet marketing. Prices around £400 - £500
Thanks for the replies, i wasn't so sure about the CIM one day courses but i will definitely take a look at those.
As for emarketeers i will see if i can find some people who have been with them and see what they thought.
Thanks

You might want to check out EADIM run by Drayton Bird one of *the* most respected copywriters/marketers of all time, they are running a webinar this week covering what the EADIM is about. Its not industry recognised like CIM but it does have some big names who have actually been there done it very successfully something I would ask of any CIM lecturers.

I'm going to the web copywriting course with emarketeer in early August so I'll post some feedback if you're interested.
One of my colleague went on a basic dreamweaver course with them and was really happy
@garyk: Thanks for the suggestion but i would like to do some CIM courses and if i was to do that course it would limit my choices alot, im sure its a brilliant opportunity though and i may look into it in the future.
@Ecler: That would be good thanks, if you could tell me what its like then i may look at taking one or two, i was thinking about a copywriting course/workshop as i haven't done anything like that before and it seems a useful skill to have.

Hi
thanks for sharing that useful info
Thanks for all the help folks.
I have decided to go for the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing, a branding workshop and some courses on film directing. I know you're probably thinking "film directing!?!?" but it should help me shoot some marketing videos, plus it will be fun :)

Hi
Just came back from the emarketeers SEO copywirting course and although it was very interesting, I would only recommend it to people who know absolutely nothing or very little about SEO. I don't think it was the right course for me as I knew pretty much everything about the topics covered, but on the plus side I did look very clever in front of the other participants who were almost all new to SEO :)
So if you want to learn about metadata, anchor text, and keyword research, this cours eif definitely worth it. If you're intermediate or advanced in SEO, you should be looking at other courses.
