Does anyone have a proforma for the new wording on the Director's report/ Balance Sheet.
As a qualified accountant (but not working in practice now) I have prepared the accounts myself, but don't have software to give me the latest wording regarding Companies Act 2006.
I've searched the internet, but there are so many versions I'm keen to make sure I get the most up to date one.
Many thanks in advance!
Helen

Have a look at the companies house website, they have proforma accounts and help guides to download which shoul give you the answer your looking for.

For the [period / year] ending [year end] the company was entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

Directors’ responsibilities;

· The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with section 476,
· The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies’ regime.

Thank you. I've had a look at their website but I am now even more confused.

Their wording on their website is exactly what I put in my accounts. I sent the accounts to Co House last week and they sent them back yesterday saying that the wording was wrong!

Think I'll just phone them up and see if I can get any more sense from a person (not hopeful!)

Thank you anyway

What exactly did the letter say?

The above is for periods starting from 6 April 2008.

I must admit I use the Co House own abbreviated accounts facility to submit accounts to them whenever possible. That way I never have any problems!
