CV Screen the specialist IT Recruitment (http://www.cvscreen.co.uk/) Agency report a 25% monthly increase in the demand for IT professionals as the IT jobs (http://www.itjobsintheuk.com/) market continues to show signs of recovery.

During the same period there was also a 27% decline in the number of applicants per vacancy which shows that IT professionals are securing new IT Jobs (http://itjobs.cvscreen.co.uk/) at a faster rate.

CV Screen’s Matthew Iveson commented “We have seen some encouraging signs over the last couple of months with more enquiries from employers looking to recruit talented staff and candidates with strong PHP, Linux and SharePoint skills remain the most sought after in the current marketplace.”

Iveson added “The increase in demand in June was as a result of a large number of new enquiries and also from our existing customers who appreciate CV Screen’s ability to identify the most suitable IT professionals for a cost-effective fee of just 12.5% of the basic salary.”

In conclusion Iveson commented “Following a tough 1st quarter to the year, we are seeing signs that optimism is returning to the industry and we fully expect that the second half of the year will be a busier time for the IT jobs market.”

That's encouraging to hear possible green shoots in the IT sector, how does that compare with this time last year?

It's good to hear some good news for a change.

well how does this compare to a recent report from a agency who publish regular market analysis?

they seem to have been reporting for a good while now that 6month like for like position advertising is down upto 60%

As someone in the 'field' I can vouch for this, you only have to look at the job boards to see companies just aint recruiting to previous levels.

I and many others certainly aint seeing ant 'green shots' in the IT Market, if anything going to get worse and more positions offshored and projects cancelled at the large financials etc.

All the best though, gonna be tough for all involved

It's fair to say that things are still significantly lower than 12 months ago.

As one of the UK's leading IT Recruitment Agencies (http://www.cvscreen.co.uk) we track data on a regular basis and we're not suggesting that things are all of a sudden booming, merely that there are signs that things look to be improving slightly.
