Is anybody here up for a joint venture. I'm a qualified solicitor. I think that there is a market generating legal leads for solicitors.
I would do all the content, I need an SEO genius to get the links etc and the ranking.
I think that these leads can be sold to the general solicitor populus across the UK.
Anyway if you'd like to chat about this let me know.

EXTREMELY competitive marketplace youare going into there. It can be done, but I am not sure that selling the leads is the best way to make the best money.

Doesn't look that competitive to me. Although maybe I am looking at the wrong terms. I'd imagine there are quite a few .gov and authority sites in the way on some terms.

I'd be careful with this kind of thing. It can often end in tears. Have only known it to have worked well once.

Can I just say that Solicitors are starting to realise that instead of being in the yellow pages they need to start getting online. In my local area it is picking up quickly as they are realising they will get more business online (other than referrals obviously!) :)

Feel free to private message me.

Out of interest what is the website you have in place for this? Do you have one?

I looked into the keywords, and most of the generic ones are VERY competative!

However going locally, and targeting the all areas of the UK, but locally, this can be done with ease, however will take up a lot of time from someone with excellent knowledge in SEO.

I do stress the time factor on this. Not sure if it would be worth an SEO doing this whith you though, as it would take up a lot of their time, and then they would have to cut the commission.

Not so sure on that as being a solicitor he has maybe the contacts e.t.c. to get the thing on the road.

Most SEO's can't be bothered with the day to day running of things.

As our minds work on a higher plane.:D

The only sort of phrases that solicitors are going to pay decent money for are no win no fee, accident, negligence type phrases, and i can assure you they are VERY competitive.

No solicitor is going to pay for leads for 'solicitor in xxx town'. The way to make the big money here is to fix the lead, qualify it and as far as the lead prospect is concerned, they have already set things in motion and committed. So to then sell that lead for say £100 is an absolute waste of time and effort.

The IDEAL situation is to work on a complete split of earnings with the solicitor who settles the claims. THEN you are talking about 10 times the amount above.

But it is very competitive.

I know solicitors who bought leads from companies i.e. for debt recovery and personal injury and they all turn out to be a complete waste of time - namely because of distance. Esp with personal injury when it can involve local authorities, visits from doctors etc.

One of the main issues is that it is incredibly time consuming sorting the wheat from the chaff by which time the lead that is local has already been snagged by another company.

There seems to be a lot of bad systems out there that just make money. Cut out the middleman I say:redface:

Thanks for your input everybody. I note the concerns, but I think that there is more to legal work than PI. Small businesses have a myriad of needs and my ldea is to generate leads by town, so the local lead is targetted at a local solicitor. The solicitor shouldmbe prepared to pay well for a lead either upfront or probably as a commission share of the fees generated. Once a client is on board if treated well, he becomes a client for life and can then be cross sold other services by the firm.
I know that this will not be easy, and it is a long term project but then anything worth doing takes time.
Thanks again all.
