Just wondered if I could get anyone to review the first page of a site I am creating for a friend. Just need to know if I should carry on with the whole site or go back to the drawing board. I have read all the advice that has been given in the past and tried to stick with it.

Edit: Thank you for all the comments, I will make all the changes and finish the site.

Again, Thank you

Quickie.

Clean look, text is a little faint on my screen, general design should work. I look forward to seeing more.

I would recommend that the first page was a bit more offer orientated rather having a lot of text to read.

Take a look at Ozzy's award winning site to see what I mean. As soon as you land on the site, it is clear what you can buy.

I like it, just checked the code and it seems to comply to all the W3C standards. The only minus point I found was the flower pic was very bright and dazzeled me, but then I have a very nice monitor so it shouldn't be a problem for average Joe.

I am slightly worried though that a web development company would need to get you to design the site.
