Hi,

I'm a new poster here.

Could you help me with some business research?

I am planning on offering IT services to businesses and home users in my local area.

As business owners and home PC users, where do you go to for IT support? Does anybody use places like PC World? I do realise that almost everybody knows someone who is good on computers these days, is this how you get support? Do you have a service contract with a local IT company?

Any insights into your particular IT habits would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Darren

Becuase we provide technical services, we get a lot of clients phoning us with silly support issues that we're just not interested in dealing with (although we often do to eep them happy)

If you are looking at how to market your services, contact other techie firms, like web designers, etc and say to them, "if you have clients with support needs send them my way"

Thanks for that advice Duane, that is a very good idea.

Jayne, thanks for the reply, I realise people can often support themselves more easily now a days. Thanks again.

Could work as a white label service - ie Key One (for example) sends the caller to you and you answer the phone in the name of Key One seeming as though your part of that company.
