Hi folks
Brain not working to quickly today!!!
I am trying to get some discount vouchers done for my new retail store and wondered if anyone could give me some (CONSTRUCTIVE!) ideas as to what terms and conditions to include?
Cheers

Erm... how bout.....
1) Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer
2) No cash value
3) Only one voucher per customer
4) A term to link the voucher to the customer
5) Exclude the purchase of certain items (eg gift vouchers)
6) A minium spend
7) Expiry date or valid period
well, that should be a starter for 10 (or at least 7)

Thank you very much! Now seeing it in front of me it seems so obvious, must get my brain starter motor fixed! Been meaning to do it for a while!

2) No cash value
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that there has to be a cash alternative (which is why most vouchers have a redeemable value of 0.0001p.

Looking at the HMV voucher they say that there are no cash alternatives but elsewhere they say it is worth 0.00001p - I am not a legal eagle on these things so dont know what the difference is.

"no purchase necessary" is another one that's always there. Sure there is a reason for it.
http://www.superbreak.com/marketing/freebreaktandc.htm has some you might want to read throught for inspiration.
Reading T&Cs for inspiration? Forgive me, i have a headache.

No purchase necessary are normally on prizes where you do not have to puchase something to claim your prize - so if you win a keyboard in a prize draw you arent forced to buy a computer to get your keyboard. This is more a piece of mind for the customer condition rather than one that would need to be explicitly stated.

Ahh, ok, that makes sense.
I always though it meant there was no purchase necessary to enter the prize draw as you always seem to be given the option of sending an SAE to a given address to enter instead of buying the bag of crisps or whatever.
All irrelevant anyway as the question is about vouchers not a competition. Sorry!
