I am thinking about doing an auction online her at the UKBF, and wanted to know how many people would be interested.
I have been doing some work with a celeb and as part of that I have been in contact with the Premiership football teams to get donations from them, I got a call from them today saying they could not take anymore stuff, so I find myself in the situation that I have football shorts signed by the teams or a football signed by the team.
Now I am not going to put this stuff on ebay that would be wrong, however I thought if we have enough football fans here we may be able to get a load of money raised and I can pass this onto the NSPCC.
What do you think, how much would you pay for a signed shirt from for example Man City or a signed ball from Bolton?
So you know they have taken, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal, Chelsea, Blackburn and WBA

Why is it wrong to put them on ebay, lots of charities do, all the money goes to the kids, to me it doesn't matter how it gets sold :D You may even get more money from ebay (more the better) : Just tell everyone on the forum when it will be auctioned, then they can bid too :D

I have just looked on ebay and the prices are not that good anyway.
Spurs seem to be dragging their feet too.

Haven't you got anything nice EB?
All this football stuff doesn't pull my party poppers.

Even £10000.00 seems damned expensive for a shirt :D

However with the degree of mathemetical accuracy £10.00000

seems about right :D :D

Hi EB,
Just coming in from another angle.

Are the clubs aware their items are going to be used for a purpose other than the original cause? (Just in case you haven't covered your butt!)

cheers Nigel

Nigel

No, they are not, although it is still going to charity. Not sure what to do with that, you raise a good point, would callinng them make any difference?

Hi. I would, even if as a matter of courtesy. You're probably aware that some clubs are very 'guarded' about their merchandise, and if they found, say, a shirt/jumper on eBay (or wherever) there could be questions asked of you, with a possible subsequent cloud over your credibility.

Cheers, Nigel

Interesting point Nigel and actually very relevent - especially the point about risking future credibility.
